A child that is engaged in what they are doing, and enjoying themselves, will learn. More importantly, they will want to learn and will seek out further learning opportunities. This is the simple but powerful formula for early childhood education, and it is a formula that I’ve seen succeed during my career with the ABC Group.
To engage a child, you must take an individual approach to learning. Children learn in different ways and at different paces. The one similarity for all children is that this is that early childhood is the most important time for building and growing as an individual. A child that is given a challenging but reachable learning goal, with the right support, will achieve this goal.
It is equally important that a child is enjoying themselves. From an early age children can love school, and this passion can continue through their academic career. Learning through fun topics, activities, and interactions are crucial for gaining knowledge and experiencing a happy childhood.
As an educator, I feel privileged to be part of this process, and I look forward to the experience and opportunities of working with our parents, teachers and young learners in the ABC Pathways International Kindergarten!
